Channel 10 - Guerrilla FC Event Series
FIFA brought the clown show to DC in the form of a World Cup draw in December after snubbing the DMV for next summer’s tournament. With outrageous ticket prices, the prospect of masked ICE agents patrolling stadiums, and FIFA’s leaders embracing the world’s most evil, this tournament just doesn’t have the same feeling as it used to.
Was it better back in ‘94? X-year old me thought so.
The same night FIFA set up at the Kennedy Center and presented the orange man his made up peace award, we did our own thing at Guerrilla FC, in partnership with Saturdays Football and Where Is Football, and celebrated what we love of about the game that now costs attendees thousands of dollars this coming June.
Channel 10, our concept and alternative to the World Cup Draw down the street, was designed to give people in DC another option from the first of many overpriced experiences and strange events that’ll be tied to the 2026 World Cup in North America. Tapping into WC ‘94 nostalgia and lauding the famous #10s that featured that summer, we looked to call back to a time when the game felt a bit more pure.
